Individual Registers On-line examination demonstration
Entry to an APS Individual Register is only open to Full Members of APS who must also pass an on-line examination intended to demonstrate familiarity with current Best Practice.
The examination is an open book examination
Questions are selected at random from a database of questions in order that no two examinations are likely to be identical.
Questions in the database are grouped in order that a full range of topics is tested.
The Register examination is a multiple choice examination.
Some questions may demand more than one answer is selected.
The requirement for multiple answers is not always expressly indicated by the text of the question.
Marks are deducted for wrong answers to discourage multiple incorrect answers.
The examination will have a defined time limit. You should ensure you are likely to have the full period uninterrupted.
As with a traditional exam it is not possible to opt out and restart the examination.
You must not log out in the middle of an examination. You will only be credited with the work done at the original sitting.
A Demonstration Exam, almost identical to the real exam, using its own database of questions, designed to help you familiarise yourself with the APS Exam is available below.

You are advised to familiarise yourself with the demonstration examination before progressing to the next step.
To sit the examination you must first apply. Details are in the Members Area of the web site.
