Individual Registers on-line examination demonstration

Entry to an APS individual Register (CDM-C, CSP and DRM) is open only to Full Members of APS.  Full Members may only appear on the Register to which they are entitled e.g. if you are a full CDM-C Member you may appear on the CDM-C Register; if you are a Full CSP Member you may appear on the CSP Register etc.

The examination is intended to test your knowledge of the CDM Regulations 2007 and construction health and safety.  It is open-book format and questions are selected at random from a database of questions in order that no two examinations are likely to be identical and you have 120 minutes in order to complete the examination.  Please note that all on-line examinations have the same format.

Please click on the above link where you will see a number of screenshots of the on-line examination. 

• When you click on the examination link within the APS Members area, you should expect to see the first page of the screenshot.
• Pages 2 and 3 of the screenshot demonstrate the format of questions which will be asked and are completed by ticking the appropriate buttons within the answers options. 

Examination guidance

• For security reasons, you will need to retype your login and password in the APS examination system.
• You may scroll through the questions by clicking on the appropriate question number within the yellow box on the right hand side of the screen.
• When you are satisfied with your answers (and within the 120 minute time slot) click on finish at the bottom right of the question screen
• You should receive an acknowledgement and a message that you will be advised of the outcome within 3-4 weeks.
• A full set of instructions and guidance will be given when you log in to take the on-line examination following your payment.

Trouble shooting
Your APS examination log-in screen should appear as the first page of the screenshot.  If it doesn’t, it is likely that you may be using an older version of an internet browser not compatible with the examination system.  Internet browsers which are compatible are as follows:

Internet Explorer v. 7 and above;
Firefox 3.5;
Safari 4; and/or
Opera 10.
