APS National CPD28 - Raising skills and unlocking potential and Understanding the Design Risk Management Process

This National CPD Event will be split into two sessions, morning and afternoon. Delegates are invited to book for either of the two sessions or for the whole day.
The morning workshop event aims to develop your leadership style, develop personal negotiation skills, increase your ability to influence people, manage difficult behaviours and teach you how to invest in and manage relationships
for the greater benefit of the Project Team.

This afternoon workshop event attempts to explore the inner workings of a Designer’s mind and in particular give the CDM-C a better understanding of the process that a Designer goes through.

MaPs to RMaPs Refresher Seminars

Following the success of the MaPs to RMaPs seminars as part of the Spring CPD programme, APS are holding more events in the remaining 9 regions.

The APS Registers are cited within the Approved Code of Practice for the CDM Regulations 2007 and being on an APS Register provides you with an industry recognised means by which you can effectively and easily demonstrate your competence as a CDM Co-ordinator to your clients. This eases the general burden on your clients to carry out assessments and allows them to focus on
the specific requirements for their projects: a service which many clients will appreciate. These evening Seminars take the form of a Tutorial/Update on CDM2007 followed by the opportunity to sit the Transfer Examination in paper format rather than on-line.

The benefits of MaPS members attending this event are as follows:
• The Seminars are being held at the same venue as the Autumn National CPD Events;
• You will receive a CPD Certificate for attending the Seminar;
• You will have a dedicated period of time (75 minutes) in which to take the exam – so no
problems of trying to find time to do the exam in your lunch break!;
• The normal cost of sitting the online exam (£58.75) is included within the cost of the Seminar;

Each event will be held on the same location as the National CPD event the following day.
