Corporate Membership
Becoming a Corporate Member
Admission to Corporate membership is open to:
- Registered members of APS acting as sole practitioners or
- Partnerships and companies which offer services in terms of CDM 2007 as CDM Co-ordinator or Designer and/or
- Contractors providing construction work under CDM 2007.
To be eligible any of the above has to have an individual Registered member of APS in place who is responsible for the provision of CDM services (this means a Registered member or Registered Fellow of APS).
Additional requirements include the Corporate member to:
- Prove adequate professional indemnity insurance;
- Support employees towards Registered membership of APS;
- Support members commitment to CPD (continuing professional development).
Benefits of Corporate Membership
- Access to the members area of the APS website;
- Notification of APS regional events;
- 6 Digest magazines per annum;
- 6 practice notes per annum together with best practice information;
- Access to the APS legal advice service relating to the interpretation of CDM;
- Access to the APS practice advice panel;
- Advertise CDM related vacancies on the APS website;
- Annual copy of searchable CD-rom of APS Practice Notes and Digest (APS magazine).
As well as:
- Access to other relevant representative and governmental bodies;
- Insurance industry recognition of the training and experience of APS members;
- APS is a membership of the Construction Industry Council (CIC).
Corporate Member Employees also receive the following:
- Discounts on selected APS CPD;
- Discounts on selected APS publications.
Registered Practice Scheme
Registered Practices can now further promote themselves under this scheme as it is now part of the UK wide "Safety Schemes in Procurement" (SSIP) scheme.
Corporate membership of APS is a pre-requisite to be included on an APS Practice Register.

Annual Subscription
Subscriptions are paid annually on the anniversary of the month of becoming a member.

Voting Rights
Corporate members have no voting rights within the Association (individual members do retain their voting rights).
Post Nominals
Corporate membership does not confer any right for the use of post nominals (individual Registered members may still use their post nominals).
