The Association for Project Safety (APS) is a not-for-profit membership body for all working in, or with an interest in, Construction Health and Safety Risk Management.
Fellowship of the APS is recognition by the sector of an individual’s strong background in Construction Health and Safety Risk Management.
Applicants for Fellowship must be of integrity and have a proven record of expertise, experience and success within the industry.
Fellows will be expected to have had experience in senior roles concerned in the delivery of Construction Health and Safety Risk Management or possibly to have been involved in the development of sector Best Practice in academia or consultancy.
By the award of APS Fellowship, applicants are being recognised by their peer group of their exceptional competency, achievements or contribution to Construction Health and Safety Risk Management.
Admission to Fellowship of the Association is only open to candidates who already meet the following minimum criteria;
- Current Full Membership of APS.
- Full Membership of APS for a minimum of 5 concurrent years.
- Membership of an APS Register.
- Proof of last 2 year’s relevant CPD.
Methods of assessment
- A project experience record.
- A project critical appraisal.
- An restricted open book written paper.
- An interview.

Post nominals
Members in Fellowship of APS may use the suffix “FaPS” after their name.
