Full Membership

The Association for Project Safety (APS) is a not-for-profit membership body for all working in, or with an interest in, Construction Health and Safety Risk Management.

Admission to Full Membership is only open to candidates who can prove that they meet the requirements for education and experience as laid down from time to time by the Association.

  • Members may participate in APS Regional events.
  • Members may access advice on fee issues, contractual terms and appointment information.
  • Members receive 6 Newsletters per annum.
  • Members receive Practice Notes and Best Practice Information.
  • Members have access to a APS’ Practice Advice Panel.
  • Members have access to APS’ Legal Advice Service relating to the interpretation of CDM.
  • Members receive discounts on APS CPD.
  • Members receive discounts on selected APS publications.
  • Membership gives access to other relevant representative and governmental bodies.
  • Insurance industry recognition of the training and experience of APS’ members.
  • Full Membership of the Construction Industry Council (CIC).

APS Registers

Full Membership of APS is a pre-requisite of an application to join any APS’ Register. 

CPD

Full Members are required to fulfill a commitment to a personal program of Continuing Professional Development. From time to time the Association may ask Members to provide proof of compliance. Please see drop down “CPD requirements” for full details.  

Voting Rights

Full Members of APS have full voting rights within the Association. 

Post nominals

Full Members of APS may use the suffix “MaPS” after their name.

Applications should be forwarded with all required proofs.

Your Direct Debit Mandate will not be activited until your application is successful, at which time you will be invited to join the Association.

Please Note

In the event that you have a qualification or qualifications not mentioned in the Membership Requirements and you feel that it may be relevant or directly comparable to qualifications detailed within the Membership Requirements please submit full course details of the qualification along with your application.

Your application and the qualification course content will then be considered at the next meeting of APS’ Membership and Registration Committee.
