The identification and recording process for risks in construction and refurbishment projects, with guest speaker from HSE

Thu 7th October 2010: Danger UXB – The Hazards of Unexploded Ordnance

Unexploded ordnance has arisen from both aggressive and defensive military activity, and many parts of the UK are affected (both urban and rural). But what about your site? When should anecdotal evidence be supported by a coherent desk top study?  What is the trigger to undertake investigatory work to better establish the level of risk on a potential development site?  If present, how can the UXO risk be managed to mitigate against adverse outcomes?

A presentation by Paul Bussey of Scott Brownrigg on the work of DIOHAS in progressing the health and safety of design for workplaces and other parts of the built environment
