APS Northern England News

Our first CPD event of the year took place on 29th Jan 2008 and was well attended.

There were two presentations, both of which were very well received.

Phil Clarke from the Tyne and Wear Fire Brigade delivered two excellent case studios on construction site fires on timber frame buildings.  I have to say it was frightening the speed of fire spread!!

Andrew Hedges from Arup spoke about what can be done at design and planning stages to aid prevention of fire start and spread during construction.

The vote of thanks proposed for the speakers was well deserved.

A big thank you to all who attended and we look forward to seeing you at the next event in the North East.
